Hospitality
OVERVIEW
Adventure, risk, fun and excitement- graduates who work in the travel and tourism industries get paid to do what they love. If you feel most at home with a snowboard attached to your feet, then why not follow winters around the world as a snowboard instructor. If pumping iron in a gym all day appeals, then you could train to be a fitness instructor or if you have a knack for organising others, why not get paid to do it as a travel agent or resort representative
SPECIALISATION
Chef
A Chef plans and develops menus; decides on the speciality of the day; estimates the amount of food needed; computes the cost of food; purchases food supplies; checks for food quality; prepares food
Wine stewed
The main responsibility of a wine steward is to establish what clients want to drink and to serve them accordingly. It is important that all drinks are served in the correct manner. The level of responsibility in steward duties differs from one establishment to another. In more up-market establishments, the wine steward is responsible for selecting, obtaining, storing, controlling and replenishing the stock of wines
Food Service Manager
You will motivate a large team of workers to work quickly and efficiently to produce food that is tasty, attractively served and prepared according to hygienic standards. Although as a food service manager you are not a chef (you manage the process of food preparation), you should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and help when things get hectic.
