📌 About The Organization
The Energy & Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) is a South African government-linked organization that helps train and develop skills for the energy and water industries. It focuses on creating opportunities for young people and professionals to study and get skills that are needed in jobs across energy and water services. EWSETA works with colleges, universities, and employers to reduce unemployment and improve skills in the country. It is one of the 21 SETAs established under the Skills Development Act of South Africa.
🎓About The Bursary Programme:
The EWSETA Bursary helps students pay for their studies if they want to work in energy or water-related fields. This includes helping cover costs such as:

✅Eligibility Requirements – Who Qualifies?
To qualify for EWSETA bursary funding, you usually must:
✔ Be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
✔ Have completed Matric (or equivalent), or be currently studying at a university or TVET college.
✔ Be accepted or registered to study a relevant course in the energy or water sector.
✔ Preference is often given to learners from previously disadvantaged communities, including youth, women, and people with disabilities.
Courses/Fields they fund include: degrees or diplomas in energy, water, engineering, environmental science, hydrology, supply chain or other priority fields relevant to the sector’s skills needs.

✘ You haven’t completed Matric or don’t have an acceptance/registration to study at a recognized institution.
✘ Your course of study is not related to the energy or water sector.
